It's possible to use the time portal onto an angled wall and use it to move or travel long distance by moving fast into it, but when glass is involved to block you, always make sure you travel into the time portal from the present before the throw/jump of the distance. You can have up to 2 blue and 2 orange portals at once by having a time portal in-between the 2 sets, but always put the portal from the present FIRST and don't change them if you still need the 2nd set of portals in the future. The puzzle are kinda complex (far more than normal Portal 2), but if you remember the basic rules, you should be able to complete the mod/game. There's a LOT of rooms where you'll have to make use of the proper cube (future vs present) in order to make the future cube disappears.
